The East African Leadership Team (EALT) and Visitor Leadership Team (VLT) meet quarterly to share information, engage in peer consultation and feedback, and plan for the ongoing development of the therapeutic arts in East Africa.

Additionally, representatives from the two leadership teams work together to plan the curriculum for the annual Therapeutic Arts Paraprofessional Training in Africa (TAPTA). Members of the EALT also conduct workshops in their local communities to share their knowledge and skills related to the therapeutic use of the arts for individual and collective wellbeing.

The EALT is composed of five to seven members from the countries of Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. The VLT is composed of five to seven members from the U.S. and Australia.
